[Solved] NMS subscribe-page confirms at first submit

Had NMS 2.3.2 running under cmsms 1.9
Just upgraded cmsms subsequently to 1.10, 1.11 (most recent versions) to 1.12.1
Installed NMS-module 2.9.5 with its dependencies.
Did a reset on the NMS- templates.

Issue:
-when sending a subscription, its sends an email message to ask for confirmation, but at the same time it confirms the subscription and sends the confirmation email message.

-no lists are displayed I see now that lists are displayed when there are more than one made public

Can I achieve a clean installation of NMS by uninstalling NMS and reinstall it?
And will that solve this problem?
I tried an uninstallation and installed version 2.9.4 of NMS: makes no difference

Subscribing to s newsletter is now working as supected.
I made a new page template where I have the {NMS] tag.

So it turns out I had conflicting Smarty-code in it, that did work in older versions, but after upgrading not anymore.

Which code excactly caused the error, I don't know...
