cgcalender not showing frontend [solved]

I installed the most recent version of cgcalender 1.15.3 on cms ms 1.12. After adding an event it doesn't show on the frontend. For the time being I'm using the stylesheet that comes with the module. I'm not doing anything fancy at the moment, because just want to know if the module is usefull. So everything should be default. Can anyone help me with finding the solution?

Need more info, what steps did you take to try and get it to show, etc. etc....

I'm using CMS Made Simple 1.12 and using PHP 5.5.
Installed the most recent version of CGCalendar 1.15.3 including the depended modules, put

on the page. Tried

{CGCalendar}

, but that was not the solution.
In the module I added an event for a date to come.
It shows the event in the agenda, but not on the front-end.
The only code I can see is
