Can FEU choose category to upload to with Uploads?

I am using the Uploads module for the first time.
I have put an upload form on a protected page for FEUs to upload mp3 files.
I want the FEU to choose a category when they fill in the Upload form but I have to pre-select a category in the module call:

{cms_module module="Uploads" category="acat" mode="upload"}

How can I set this form up so that a FEU can choose their own category?

I usually add a tag for each category as I don't think you can change the category at the front end level...
