Question About Error Connect To Database Scshelter

Hello everyone!
I'm hoping someone can help me. Yesterday I added content to our website and everything was working okay. Today, I tried to access our website and it took a long time for the page to load. When it did, it said:

Database Connection Failed
Error: Too many connections (1040)
Function Performed: CONNECT
Host/DB: localhost/scshelter
Database Type: mysql

Fatal error: Attempt to connect to database scshelter on scshelter@localhost failed in /var/www/domains/scshelter.org/www/lib/adodb.functions.php on line 85

I have no idea what to do to get it to work.

Hi,
Usually indicates a problem with the web hosting. There is a database connection error or your site cannot reach the database.

"Error: Too many connections (1040)"

- Should talk to your host or find out what is wrong with the server environment.
