SOLVED no wysiwyg editor for uploads module?

Post by faglork »

Hi!

I upgraded to
cmsms 1.12
cgextensions 1.46.4
uploads 1.18.5

Now, when uploading /editing a file with the uploads module, I don't get a wysiwyg editor for the description any more

Any ideas?

(BTW: in uploads 1.16.16, the wysiwyg editor showed up when editing, but not when uploading.)

Cheers,
Alex

Maybe there is a new setting somewhere set to default no wysiwyg..?

The only new option is "allow admin to change the date of upload".

Invocation of TinyMCE works as it should in other modules like Gallery and the News module, so there seems to be no general problem.

UPDATE: When I add a new field defininiton "Table of Contents", select "textarea" as type and activate "use wysiwyg", the same thing happens: no wysiwyg ...

Just tested on other sites.

When I add a new field, chose Text Area and activate wysiwyg, no wysiwyg is shown in upload/edit mode. Editor is TinyMCE 2.9.13, cgextensions is 1.46.4

The same thing happens with cmsms 1.11.10 and uploads 1.18.2, cge is 1.42.2

In both cases, turning wysigwyg on/off in other modules (e.g. Gallery) works.

Never mind, I found a solution. Sort of workaround, but it works for me.

Well ... Calguy explicitely told me that he would not "not support, communicate with, or interact with any users of cmsmadesimple.de", hinting that I get baned if do not "follow all of our forum rules completely". So I think I get banned from the forum if I post my solution, because it interferes with his intentions. Sorry.

Alex
