Gallery - Open Lightbox from Parent Gallery?

I was wondering if there was any way to make the Gallery Module work so that when you are on a page showing a list of galleries, you could click on the gallery choice, and instead of opening in a new page, it just opens that gallery up in lightbox, without having to have that extra step.

When you go to this page, you see the different galleries with their names. My client wants to be able to then click on the name of the gallery, and it would open up the photos. Right now, it goes to a new page, and then from there you can click and it shows in the lightbox/fancybox type thing, creating an extra step and clutter.

Has any one had success in modifying this module or a template in this module to be able to do that?

You may be able to do it but I wouldn't know as I don't use Gallery, if you were talking about Album I would say Yes...

I've seen it working with a new template for the parent gallery, which contains a {Gallery} tag in the foreach loop. So a call to gallery in its own template.
