Picture management

Post by eve57 »

2 questions:

1. Is it possible to add files/pictures while editing Page in Content Maganer? I mean when you are edditing a page content > adding picture > instead of choosing file you can upload it.
If it is not possible in any version of CMSMS are you planning to make such a feature?

2.Is it possible to give rights to users to selected files?
If it is not possible in any version of CMSMS are you planning to make such a feature?

Thanks for answering my questions.

By default it is not possible. Though there is a 'Drop files here to upload' box in the right upper corner of every admin page. You can drop a file to that box and then select it from within the content editor.

You might want to have a look at the alternative wysiwyg editor TinyMCE which is available as a separate module.

As far as I know that's not possible. And I'm not aware of plans to build that into CMSMS.
Thanks for answering my questions.

As Velden say the TinyMCE module will allow you to manage files from within the content editor.

There is also an option in TinyMCE to restrict a user's file access to just a single directory ( TinyMCE -> Profiles -> Restrict Users dir access).

This will restrict the filemanagement-capabilities of the user to a subdir to 'uploads' which have the same name as the user's login.

It's not fantastically flexible but it might be enough for you.

Thanks for help.

Unfortunately is not enough for me... My goal is to make something like this:
1) create files A, B, C
2) user 1, 2
3) user 1 can upload files to A and B
4) user 2 can upload files to B and C
5) user 1 can use files from A and B while editing Page
6) user 2 can use files from B and C while editing Page

Is there such possibility in CMSMS or any plugin?
