PHP Upgrade

Post by KitchM »

I am using CentOS 6.6 with CMSMS 1.11.11. My server has been set up with both php version 5.3.3 and 5.4.16.

CMSMS sees 5.3.3. How do I tell it to use 5.4.16?

Thanks.

Is there no place in any CMSMS configuration or file that sees if and where php exists?

My understanding was that php was required by CMSMS and would therefore be needing to be identified as existing.

CMSMS sees whatever version of PHP is available on the server. That is a server configuration, even if there are several versions of PHP available on the server, not a CMSMS configuration.

Evidently, CMSMS cannot see one of them.

Thank, Rolf.

I tried that and it only sees the 5.3.3 version. Do you also believe that it is a misconfiguration on the server?

of course. I should post this problem on the CentOS-forum as it isn't a cmsms related.

I found this link that was used to install it on my server:
http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResour ... tories/SCL

I just seems that this is one of those things that are difficult to configure and make work as we wish. It simply isn't worth the trouble.

I think I'll just upgrade to CentOS 7.

Many thanks to all of you with good ideas. It is appreciated.
