Update CGExtensions impossible

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Update CGExtensions impossible

Post by jejeman »

Hello,

I have a website with CMS 1.11.7
I just upgrade to the latest version 1.11.12 with no problem.
Now, on the Module Manager, it says I need to upgrade the CGExtensions from version 1.35 to 1.45.
The problem is, I can't do it because it says "cannot download"
How I can upgrade this module ?
Thank you.

Probably improper file/folder permissions for the /modules/CGExtensions folder (and everything below).

IIRC there's a link to 'set permissions' or something in the Modules admin page. But likely it won't be able to fix the problem.

Consider using FTP client or webhosting admin panel to set permissions (777 ?) for CGExtensions folder and files/folders recursively.

That said: Latest CGExtensions requires PHP 5.4

Make sure you check versions before you upgrade.

Thank you velden
I've just checked permissions on folder, and no problem found...
I think the problem is the PHP version: I use the v5.3 and I didn't know it might need v5.4 at least.
For the moment I cannot upgrade my PHP version, so what do you advice me: keep CMS v1.11.7 and CGExtension as it is or upgrade CMS and keep CGExtension v1.38.1 ?
Thank you.
