{embed} not working with Opera?!

Post by larskong »

Hi CMSMS forum,

I need a little help. I can´t get the {embed} tag to work with the Opera browser. It just shows
nothing. I would like to show the webcalendar from http://www.k5n.us/ in a page
with a horizontal menu.

It works fine in Firefox, IE dows show it but with a scrollbar, but Opera
does not show it at all. It does not seem to react to the embed tag at all.

I will be most greatfull for any help or ideas.

BR / Lars

CMSMS v. 0.13
Opera v.9.0
IE v. 6.0
Firefox v.1.0.7
Webcalender v. 1.0.3
Windows XP platform SP2
XAMPP for Windows Version 1.5.3a (PHP Version 5.1.4, Apache 2.2.2)

Hi CMSMS forum,

I guess that this forum is made as an embedded page with the SMF forum, and this works
beautifully in Opera, so what is the trick to get {embed} working with Opera?

Any help will be appreciated very much...

Kind regards / Lars

ok, it seems that the js for resizing the iframe wont work in opera AND embed tag spits this out:

The reason embed tag does this is for resizing the iframe so that all content in source page will be shown without scrolbars. but as the js wont work it will stay hidden (height calculations wont ever work for third party pages btw)

you could remove that display:none from embed plugin source as first aid...

hope this helps

Hi,

Thank you very much. That seems to be working as a pain killer. I just removed the "display:none".
(see also attached).

It seems to me, that Opera has som trouble with the iframe tag in general...

Thank you for your help. BR / Lars
