Installatron upgraded CMSMS to 1.11.12 whilst I wasn't looking. Dang!
Anyway, it's all gone a bit odd. Main issue seems to be with [new] .accessibility elements being added (why?).
Go here:
http://www.gallowayhousegardens.co.uk/
and you will see what's up: nasty "navigation" overlay; [cream] background no longer extending to foot of page, etc.
Grateful for any advice.

Re: Site weird after 1.11.12 upgrade
1. The upgrade is not automatic. you have to upload files to the server. so either somebody else with access to your site did it. or you were computing in your sleep.
2. The upgrade does not (and never has) touched your content or templates.
so I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

The upgrade >is< automatic. Installatron automatically upgraded 1.6.6 to 1.11.12 and created a backup.
I still have a problem.

Re: Site weird after 1.11.12 upgrade
I have now restored the 1.6.6 install from the automatic Installatron backup .tar and all is well.
http://www.gallowayhousegardens.co.uk
I have also disabled the automatic upgarde option in Installatron:

Re: Site weird after 1.11.12 upgrade
So you're using installatron.
I have never tried that, we have not had communication with them, and we do not have anything to do with their installation package.
Either way.
- How could the 'automatic' upgrade have upgraded straight from 1.6.6 to 1.11.12?
we are not getting the whole story here.
- The upgrade packages WE MAINTAIN do not at any time touch the templates, stylesheets or content.
- There are well documented instructions on our docs site when upgrading from old versions such as this that need to be followed.
- added - You are responsible for reading the release notes, and changelogs for each version to know what has changed and how that may effect your site.

Re: Site weird after 1.11.12 upgrade
We are. The first I knew about the upgrade was a system generated email. When I inherited the site I simply installed the version of CMSMS that was in operation on the site (1.6.6).calguy1000 wrote:- How could the 'automatic' upgrade have upgraded straight from 1.6.6 to 1.11.12?

I guess that Installatron just pulled down the latest version of CMSMS and installed it. End of.
Still, it did create an almost useable backup!
It's my fault for not disabling the automatic upgrade option but the upgrade did break the site, which is perhaps not surprising given the version jump!

Re: Site weird after 1.11.12 upgrade
Just one glitch, though. Following the restore my vertical menu in the sidenav has disappeared. Hmm.
p.s. I know there are very good reasons for keeping up to date -- security etc. I inherited this site from a retiree and am hosting it for a charity. It's my first brush with CMSMS.

Re: Site weird after 1.11.12 upgrade
OK. I got my menu back.
My original install of CMSMS 1.6.6 ran with MenuManager 1.6.2. Following the automatic upgrade to CMSMS 1.11.12 this became 1.8.5. I re-installed MM 1.6.2 (having reverted to CMSMS1.6.6) and my menu came back.
When I get a chance I will do a managed upgrade to 1.11.12.
Incidentally, CMSMS >is< a package available via Installatron on my hosting:
