[solved] Permission to view Admin Log?

Post by paulbaker »

How do I give a "normal" user (not a main Admin) permission to view Site Admin -> Admin Log?

I tried the "Clear Admin Log" permission (the only mention of Admin Log I could find) but that doesn't give read access.

CMSMS 1.11.10

I'm still interested in ideas on this.

It looks like the only way is giving full Admin access but I would rather not do that if I can help it. ;)

The site has around 15 admins, the main 2 people want to be able to see what the others have been up to in the admin area.

The user has to have 'Modify Site Preferences' permission to be able to view the admin log. This would give them access to alot of stuff.
There is no special permission for viewing the admin log.

Ah, thanks! Yes 'Modify Site Preferences' permission does give rather more than they really need, but if that's what it has to be then that's fine.

Many thanks for Calguy!
