Continually having to clear cache

Post by burlington »

To a certain extent this Topic was raised in postings viewtopic.php?f=3&t=69381 and viewtopic.php?f=3&t=71451

However, my problem is that with one site I keep on getting this type of 'can't connect' message and the site does not become available again until I clear the cache files using FTP. I recall it has happened at least 4 times since the Topics above were last discussed.

The site is question runs on CMSMS 1.11.7. Once the cache is cleared then it works fine. No structural errors showing in the database.

This is the system information:

To get help, update your cmsms to the latest version 1.11.11. Your version is 1,5 year old.

I agree that the CMS program running this site needs upgrading. However, it is not my site; I am just helping out.

I am puzzled by the loading on the Temp files and wonder if there is something in the files that is causing this. The site also loads quite slowly though none of the start-up files are large.

I will ask the website host to do a scan to ensure that there is nothing untoward lurking around.

Is the DB on localhost or set to another server, I've had this problem with a host before, moved from them since and sites are much quicker...
