Not sure what you're trying to do. It probably has nothing to do with cmsms. Ask your provider.

BUT:
While talking to them FIRST ask them if they offer php 5.4+ too because you'll certainly run into problems with PHP 5.3.21 very soon.

Please help me understand why files are failing to transfer over. Seems like everything points to the /lib folder.

Could be you are hitting a file storage limit and FTP is just rejecting further files? Lots of files in /lib.
