AdvancedContent and Global Settings

Post by landarone »

Hello there.
I am asking you for a help.
I move complete WEB to another hosting provider, everything goes ok except AdvancedContent.
I can see pages, I can edit pages but what I cant is go to Global Settings of CMS. When I try to open it I see only blank page without any error.
I thought that was by database corruption or bad instalation but no - I made 3 new instalations and few new database backup/import but no success.
What I find, and it is very strange to me, is when I turn OFF AdvancedContent so I can go to Global Settings. But I dont see pages anymore after this switch. When I turn AdvancedContent ON so I cant go to Global Settings (blank page) but I see al of pages and content.

Could anyone of you give me some advice how to make it work?
Thank you in advance.

That usually means that there is a PHP error.

Check your server PHP error logs for an error message. Without one it's basically impossible to help much more...

Also post the site System Info if possible.

Hello Jo Morg.
Thank you for advice.
When I look to LOG directory on the ftp I dont see any message, it is emty.
When I try to use "$config['debug'] = true;" so nothing happen, I can see some debug messages in Content section (Pages) but if I go to Global Settings of CMS so I see only blank page = no change.
Also in admin log in CMS is nothing, just logs for instalations but no errror.

I can copy here all info about my instalation but I dont think it will make it clearly. Everything is same as on the other server, CMS Version (1.11.10), all modules are same in the same version, database is also the same.......I am looking for some error message but nothing.

I dont really know why AdvancedContent is in conflict with Global Settings of CMS, how this module can do it inaccessible??

Strange behavior still persist: When I turn OFF AdvancedContent so I can go to Global Settings. But I dont see pages anymore after this switch. When I turn AdvancedContent ON so I cant go to Global Settings (blank page) but I see al of pages and content.

Sometimes something as simple as clearing CMSMS cache fixes problems like this.

Either your server is not configured to save php error logs or they may be saved somewhere else. Ask your hosting company about the specifics about that. There must be a PHP error: that's what a blank page means. Additionally check your admin log in CMSMS admin page, there could also be clues about the error.

I don't know what modules you have on either servers, nor their versions, neither what CMSMS versions you are using, and most surely not if they are the same as on any other server... Please do paste that info. That is why we request it almost EVERY post asking for help... (on my signature there is a link: " Before Asking For Help!"... click on it!!!)

Hello again.
I have spoken with tech. support for our webhosting and they told me how to switch PHP errors on, in htaccess.
After I wrote some lines there I see now this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 25165824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /www/sites/1/site34021/public_html/lib/classes/class.ContentBase.php on line 2360

So it looks now that the problem is Memmory limit in PHP.
I try to ask them to give me higher value (I have 24MB).
