I successfully upgraded one web site, cities21.org, from CMSMS 1.5.4 to 1.11.11 today. I am now trying the same for ultraprt.net. I am stuck on the first upgrade from 1.5.4 to 1.6.8.
http://www.ultraprt.net/cms/install/upgrade.php
shows me:
“Install / Upgrade System”
“Version 1.6 - New Caledonia”
On “submit,” it then displays:
“Session not working, you have problem with some modules and functionality! Ask your provider, exiting!”
In addition, when I go to http://www.ultraprt.net/cms, the result is “Site down for maintenance”
In addition, when I go to http://www.ultraprt.net/cms/admin/login.php, it allows me to enter ID & password, but then takes me to the install/upgrade page
How do I debug this?
I undertook the upgrades because the server was recently upgraded to PHP5.3.2 & MySQL5.1.
Upgrade to 1.6.8 ==> “Session not working”
Re: Upgrade to 1.6.8 ==> “Session not working”
Hmmm, what non-core modules/plugins do you have on that site?
Re: Upgrade to 1.6.8 ==> “Session not working”
None. It is a pretty basic CMSMS site. Very similar to cities21.org.paulbaker wrote:Hmmm, what non-core modules/plugins do you have on that site?
Re: Upgrade to 1.6.8 ==> “Session not working”
If you really have no 3rd party modules installed you could try jumping a couple versions as the one you are trying may have problems with newer version of PHP, backup of course...
You can remove the site down file from tmp/chache to at least get the site up on front end, not sure what it will look like at this point and it may start the upgrade process...
