I am aware of the Topic at http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =3&t=69381 to which I have just replied BUT I thought as that one is marked as [solved] I ought to start a new Topic. Same subject though.
On a new draft site, which worked fine up to yesterday, I get the error message:
<quote>
Database Connection Failed
Error: Access denied for user 'xxxx'@'213.171.218.116' (using password: YES) (1045)
Function Performed: CONNECT
Fatal error: Attempt to connect to database perfectday1 on perfectday1@88.208.244.124 failed in E:\domains\p\xxxx\user\htdocs\newsite\lib\adodb.functions.php on line 61
<quote>
I have cleared the Temp etc files as recommended by Rolf in the earlier Topic but still the problem persists.
Help! please
Thanks
Martin

Either there is something wrong with the server, or someone changed the settings in config.php. If your config.php is correct then you should contact your host.burlington wrote:On a new draft site, which worked fine up to yesterday(...)

Re: Database connection failure: adodb.functions.php on line
Thanks Jo.
It was, indeed, a config.php problem BUT not of my doing. The host had changed a password in order that I could access PHPmyadmin (the first time I have had to log in to PHPMyadmin outside the hosting account) but not told me that this was also a password change for the DB itself.
Works fine now.
Regards
Martin
