Fresh install of 1.11.11 templates don't work

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Fresh install of 1.11.11 templates don't work

Post by rhindo1 »

Installed 1.11.11 on server with PHP 5.4
Admin site looks fine
When I try to change the template nothing happens.
Main site has no forwarding.
Error log shows:
Wed Oct 01 21:34:00 2014] [crit] [client 97.106.160.160] (13)Permission denied: /home1/ericwils/public_html/thebestac.com/tmp/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable, referer: http://thebestac.com/index.php

checked .htaccess and it is set to 777

Not sure where else to look for help on this.
Thank you

Where are you when this error occurs? Frontend or Admin?

.htaccess file access issues are server config related and not CMSMS related.

If you want, go to the Site Information screen and copy and paste the text version of this screen to your post. If we see something, we can advise you. But, right now, there isn't enough information to help. I'm not sure what "no forwarding" means....

you say you installed CMS Made Simple version 1.11.11 but your website tells me its CMS Made Simple version 1.7.1. So no wonder you have problems as 1.7.1 is way too old and is no longer supported.

what do you mean with "Main site has no forwarding"
