Periods in the URL?

Hello folks,

I'm revamping an old site for a client. In previous versions of CMS periods were allowed in the URL--in the newest version, the period isn't allowed.

Obviously, I only want to 301 if I have to--bad for Google, client will be pissed. Is there a way to use the period in the newest version of CMS?

You can enter a dot in the URL when using the PAGE URL field in the option tab of the content page.
