Restricting 'Editor' rights to a specific section & subpages

I have been asked to give 'editor' rights to a new editor for a single section & subsequent sub-pages of a sports website.

I don't know this individual, and I am unwilling to give full editing access to the whole site but am happy to give him access to 'his' part. How can I restrict him please?

Create a new users. Then in the content pages have a look at the Options tab: 'Additional editors' (note it's a multiselect box)
