[Solved] MicroTiny

Post by musicscore »

I'm testing CMSMS 2.0 Beta 2 and discovered that the only WYSIWYG editor that is working is MicroTiny, not one of the editors with a lot of functions. Some basic functions I mis are setting the size and the color of text. Is this possible with MicroTiny. Even the best CMS is not usefull if there is no decent WYSIWYG editor.

My customers now all use TinyMCE and this is perfect. MicroTiny is not enough for my customers.

Is there a way to install TinyMCE (or CKEditor) into CMSMS 2.x ?

Just have patience until the TinyMCE module gets updated for 2.0
CMSMS 2.0 is not yet released!
Besides that, the 1.11 branch will be maintained with security fixes for a year after release of 2.0

There are more modules that aren't updated yet

You can make a look to TinyMCE SVN - there's something available for TinyMCE 4.x (not sure if this will work with CMSMS 2.0).

Nobody should be using the SVN version of anything unless they are a programmer, and can fix their own issues. If you do use the SVN version of some module (or the core) don't report your problems here.

The simple reason is: Generally, and unless you have information otherwise, the 'current' state of the code in the source code repository can almost be guaranteed to be in a state of flux, and should never be considered usable.

That is why developers release files. When the code is thought to be in a working state the developer packages the files, and releases them. He may then begin working on more tasks, and commit his files (in an incomplete state) to the source code repository so that his work won't be lost, or that somebody else can work on them.
