Hello everyone,
I recently noted that members of my little website cannot change their email addresses anymore. If they log in and go to change settings, they can type the new email address into the box, click the submit button and they even get a "details successfully changed" message. However, if they go back to the settings area the old email address will show up again so it didn't save the new address. I am running FrontEndUsers 1.24 and the latest CMSMS version. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Many thanks.
FrontEndUser Module: Changing Email Address not working
Re: FrontEndUser Module: Changing Email Address not working
I just tested and it works for me.
Is the emailaddress used as login name?
Do you have the setting "Allow Changing Username" on Yes in FEU-admin » Settings » Builtin Authentication?

Re: FrontEndUser Module: Changing Email Address not working
Hi Jos,
Many thanks for your respone. The email address is not used as the login name. I also checked all the settings and it looks fine. The weird thing is that we can change passwords but not email addresses. It just will not save the newly entered data. I tried to pinpoint the problem but wasn't able to. That said, I seem to have some problems with the module anyway (such as this one: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/10107 - the suggested resolution thankfully fixed the issue for me as well) so I might wait until the next update to see whether this will fix the issue and in the meantime I will change the addresses manually in the backend.
Of course, if anyone has a suggestion then I am more than grateful for any advice.
Thanks.
