Unable to add new content on page section after upgrade

Today I upgraded from 1.11.3 to 1.11.10 and it seems I'm unable to add a new content page. I can only also edit existing active pages but not existing inactive pages. I can edit existing pages not add new. I do have pretty urls enabled.

This issue has cropped up before with cmsms and Im not sure what the outcome was. See http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/bug/view/8778.

As mentioned, active pages are ok, but pages like 404 page and inactive ones won't edit.

It looks like its going to a preview of the page and unable to edit.

Which admin theme do you are using?

Screenshot says it's not the default OneEleven. Have you tried it with this too?

Just switched to OneEleven and I get the same result.

Ive also downgraded back to 1.11.3 to check and I can edit pages that I cannot in 1.11.10.

I notice several modules which are no longer supported or updated.

Could you point them out please and Ill remove them. Do you think thats the cause?

To be honest I've tried a lot of modules over the years so the system may have gotten unnecessarily bloated but I'm not sure what to remove and whats critical for operations.

I have fixed the problem!

I have removed a lot of old and stale modules and upgraded back to 1.11.10. The problem I believe was that a template from the old site's templates was set as default. I have now set the new design's main template to the default and it works properly.
