I am finding the Calguys Calendar to be pretty handy for adding items (events) to the calendar.
However, I do not see how to create an item that repeats on a specific day of the week each year. For instance, the World Habitat Day is on the first Monday in October.
Thunderbird Lightning does it like this:
But I cannot see how to do it in the calendar module. What am I missing?
Thanks.
Repeating Calendar Dates By Day of Week
Re: Repeating Calendar Dates By Day of Week
I have just checked and it looks like CGCalendar does not have that functionality.
Re: Repeating Calendar Dates By Day of Week
Yes it does. Add event -> Recurs: and set to Monthly.
A new set of setting come up... check those.

Re: Repeating Calendar Dates By Day of Week
You're right Jo Morg. I didn't look closely enough.
Set the first entry for Mon 6 Oct 2014. Then:
Recurs: Montly
Repeat every: 12 months (this is the bit I missed)
Frequency: First Monday of the month
Recurs Until: longest date you can

Re: Repeating Calendar Dates By Day of Week
Oh ho! I missed that too.
So that's how that works. Who'd of thunk it? Each programmer's logic is a little different and hard to understand.
I will definitely do it that way.
Thanks very much to all.
Now if we just could make an entry to continue infinitely........
