Automated menu

Post by swarfega »

I wish to use an automated menu for my new design I am currently working on.

At the moment the menu at the top of the page is just simple page links. I would like to automate the yellow active page marker so I dont have to have a separate menu for each page.

I am using the code below on my current website and wish to transfer it to the new design to look like the top menu here: http://thriplow.org.uk/thriplow20test.php.

Menu code: http://pastebin.com/bC0y0fPq

I really dont understand how this code works and would be grateful for any help. This menu would help simplify the website.

Of course you want that. Menus in CMSMS are build using a {menu ...} call. Layout -> Menu Manager contains sample templates and help.

You need to understand how these work to build a menu like in your example.

When you install CMSMS you get option to install sample content. That content contains a lot of useful information too.

Almost anythink you can build in plain html can be build with CMSMS.
