CG Calendar only displays Event items by month

It seems CG Calendar 1.13.4 module can only display calendar items by selected month which means there's no way to see all Events or know how many past events are still in the database.

This seems very counter-intuitive since an Event posted from January to December will not appear unless you select January and it will be easy to forget which months older but still current events are posted in.

It used to show all events in the back end, which could get very long. It was changed to a monthly view fairly recently.

A switch back to all-event view was requested in the feature requests but this was closed with simple explanation "won't fix":

My only suggestion would be to add another comment to the feature request.

Thanks Paul, that's too bad.

Not having that simple 'Show All' option kinda makes this a broken module.

I discovered a hacky work around.

If you search with blank field nothing happens so I tried wildcard which doesn't work either.

I then removed wildcard and searched again leaving field blank. When you do that, it goes into Title search mode and shows all items until you reset the filter.

As long as you don't reset the filter it should show all items...I think.
