I do use the calendar to make a regular calendar page. However, I did not know it would do a different layout. I will look into that template you mentioned.

What would be cool with all the modules is if each author gave a sceenshot of each possible layout.

Most developers give sample templates for their modules to show you how they work and you get to make your own to show what you want in the front end...

To have screen shots of all possible layouts is not practical as there are as many as there are people and their imaginations...

Most people give samples from the basic layout level. Nothing fancy needs to be done.

For instance, if something does two different things, one of each would be appropriate.
