Hi Folks, I recently installed the RDMap module but have been unable to get it to work. I believe thats almost certainly because I have not configured it correctly. The help page mentions the various settings necessary but does not give even a hint of what are actually appropriate settings.
Can anyone suggest a set of settings that work that I can use as a starting point ? I'd prefer to use OSM maps if possible but will be happy, sort of, if I see something else.
I have left "Preferances" unchanged, default values there ! Assume they make sense initially.
But making a new map asks me -
Basemap - ?
Initial Map Extent - I put in 51.505/-0.09/13
Map Overlay - ?
Map Overlay Additional Parameters - ?
RDMap uses leaflet and looks like an active project and from what I can see, a potentially good one but it needs a bit more info, in particular, working examples of the settings and how to use them.
Thanks for any advice you may be able to give.

Just to add a touch more information.
The CMS module repo seems to have a number of modules that appear capable of showing maps -
GoogleMaps - refuses to install on any newer version of CMS
CGGoogleMaps - won't install due to a "bad XML file"
SimpleGoogleMaps - requires a Google API key, no longer available.
gMapsKML - supplied as a PHP file, not XML, I cannot see how to install.
and, of course, RDMaps, the subject of this topic.
The error I get with RDMaps, almost certainly because its not configured correctly, is -
Syntax error in template "content:content_en" on line 4 "
{Map name=testmap}
" unknown tag "Map"
The "{Map}" tag is, of course, suposed to be dealt with by RDMap !

OK, I am going to close this issue but will give a bit of a story in case it helps others.
I an using gMapsKML instead, it needed a few changes to do the job but it does work. I'm trying to contact the author (of gMapsKML) to advise him of the mods I needed to make.
And suggest a bit better documentation on his (and many other) projects ! I of all people know how hard it is to get programmers to document what they have done but it really is necessary guys, really !
