[SOLVED] ListIt2 instance affects admin panel

Hi,

ever since I've updated listIt2 and its instances to 1.4.1 i can't access any other dropdown in the admin menu.
for example: when i'm inside an instance and want to go to "Extentions->Modules" the "Extentions"-dropdown doesn't react or open so I can't see these menupoints.

I have to switch to another module (fe: news, etc.) and then the other dropdowns work the same way as before.


any suggestions? thx in advance!

Ok, seems like the update to 1.4.1 broke the instances:

1. all Buttons (apply, cancel, etc.) hat no styling – just plain text
2. at fielddef creation when you select the type it didn't load the specific fields
3. couldn't import or export any items
4. couldn't open dropdowns in admin panel

reverted back to ListIt2 1.4.0 – everything works fine again.
I have no clue why that happened, was it just my system responding like that or am I the only one who updated yet?

I updated two sites and didn't come across that problem. Did check quickly however.

I'd use a web inspecter to look for errors. It seems to me as if some JS error is raised. Maybe only when using a specific field definition type?

only fielddefs used were gbfilepicker and xlink – rather seems like its got something to do with my system ?!
don't wanna risk getting the same problem again, so I'll stick to 1.4.0 for some time …

Grab tar.gz package instead of using Module Manager. LI has some known issues with MoMa, due its complex upgrade process.

Safe bet is download either .xml or .tar.gz and then manually update it with either of.

Lemme know if you still have problems. with either of these upgrade routines.

updated via .xml and the same problem occurs again …
also tried updating with tag.gz – same here …

Didn't realize the first time that GBFilepicker doesn't work anymore at my entries. Could this be a Jquery problem?

I had the same, its browser cache issue, not about installation failure.

So clear browser cache and it kicks in.

This is because we upgraded our JS scripts

Naah, it took me few to figure it out too, so no need to be.

Was also looking if some file was missing with in upgrade.
