Placing html code in page content

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Placing html code in page content

Post by altralaser »

I installed version 1.11.9 but I've some problems with the view of the content.
Because I don't want to use WYSIWYG, I disabled MicroTiny in the global settings. Then I created a new page, give it a title and a menu text and then placed some text in the content window. The text also includes html code such as paragraphs or table tags.
If I now show the page in the frontend then I see the content but with all html code. In previous versions of CMSMS the html code was embedded in the page template and was automatically interpreted. So it was possible to store a html snippet in the backend and then see the formatted text in the frontend.
Where is the problem in new version?

Thanks in advance

Whenever I have a page that needs HTML, or extensive Smarty logic, I click the "disable WYSIWYG" option for the page under the Options tab.

This way you can use Tiny for the pages that need it and disable it for those that don't.

I don't know which toolbar you mean.

Under "Site Admin" >> "Global Settings" I configured the following options:

Frontend WYSIWYG (no module selected)
Disallow WYSIWYG editors on global content blocks (checked)
Default backend WYSIWYG (for new user accounts) (checked)

But it seems impossible to disable WYSIWYG for my current administrator account.

You need to turn it off in user preferences if it is micro tiny. I use tinyMCE and set it to not start on page load that way it can be turned on if needed...

I found the point "My preferences" and there I can only change the password, firstname, lastname etc.
Can you shortly describe how I can set the option to disable WYSIWYG in my administrator account?
Thanks a lot!

Second tab 'User Preferences' -> Select WYSIWYG to use -> None
