[SOLVED] warnings on Samsung tablet

Post by frankmanl »

I set up a website using CGSmartImage.
It all worked fine untill I moved the whole site to another server (I followed http://docs.cmsmadesimple.org/moving).
On my PC the new site still is fine, but on my Samsung Galaxy Tab2 10.1 I get warnings like

Code: Select all

Warning: curl_setopt(): Unable to acces (...)/_cmsms/tmp/cache... in (...)/_cmsms/modules/CGExtensions/lib/http/class.http.php on line 855 (or 860)
The smart images are displayed, but these warnings are displayed above them.
On a friend's iPad some smart images had a warning (the ones at the bottom of the left menu), some did not (the ones in the main content area).
When, on my Samsung, I check "weergave bureaublad" (display desktop?? - I don't know the correct translation from dutch) I don't get these warnings.
Is this normal behaviour for mobile browsers? Is there something I can do about it?

Frank

I get those warnings too on my Samsung tab.

I *think* you a) did not clear cache after moving the site or b) don't have set right permissions on the /tmp folder.

That said: CGSmartImage has some options to do smart things for mobile devices you can turn of. Maybe that works around your problem.

a) I did clear the cache, both before and after moving the site
b) permissions 777
CGSmartImage has some options to do smart things for mobile devices you can turn of
In CGSmartImage I switched off Enable Responsive Images which solved the problem
Thank you.
