HTML5 tags stripped on MicroTiny

Post by luya »

CMS Version: 1.11.9
MicroTiny: 1.2.5

I encountered an issue with MicroTiny that stripped all HTML5 tags. How to enable that support? I am in process of updating my website layout. Thank you.

i don't have those versions handy enough to actually try to answer the question you asked but...

FWIW, i would recommend disabling microtiny and just entering your html directly as plain text. As the developer, editor, designer, having microtiny (or any other embedded text editor.) intercept your input introduces uneeded complexity as you have discovered.

IMO, microtiny, tinymce, etc. are for assisting the end users in managing their pages' text content, if preferable.

if you were creating your html, etc. in microtiny and would miss some feature, i would suggest you do that locally with the plain text editor of your choice (geany, leafpad, gedit, etc.), then copy and paste into cmsms content form.

if you were still wishing to use microtiny i would suggest searching their docs or posting there as well, as cmsms is just using it and making it available to use. microtiny bugs or features are still their own.
