How to get rid of "Site down for maintenance."

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

How to get rid of "Site down for maintenance."

Hi
I appempted to upgrade from 1.6.4 "Moindou" today with out success. So restore the previos version, but now the home page gives this message. "Site down for maintenance." how do I get rid of that?

Clear the cache.

But if the site is still "down for maintenance" I bet your restore from backup wasn't complete.

did you follow the procedures as described on http://docs.cmsmadesimple.org/upgrading/old-versions ?

You can try to delete the file named SITEDOWN inside folder /tmp/cache manually (via ftp).

Thanks for the help, deleling the file in cache work and was able to do a minor upgrade so the pho version works better!
