Weird thing happening to PNG's using CGSmartImage

I'm using 1.11.7 and:
CompanyDirectory 1.19.4
CGSmartImage 1.12

I'm uploading a number of PNG's that display the layouts of a golf course.

All the white in the PNG's is being cut and left as transparent. This is leaving a pixelated edge. Worse is when the image is displayed over a background as it shows through.

Does anyone know of settings in CGSI that would cause this issue.

Please note it only happens to images uploaded by Company Directory. A module that I have used before without any problems.

The same problem does not occur in Showtime on the same site.

In the past there were issues with cgsi and transparency when uploading images that already had exact the size as configured in the cgsi tag.

IIRC that issue should be fixed however, but it might be worth a shot.

In the cases I faced it did the opposite: transparent png's where (partially) 'filled' with black background.

I don't know if this is a comparable issue, however it takes less than 3 minutes to test I suppose.

Just upload an image that's a little larger (1px will do) than you want it to be. Of course, that's only 'useful' when using resize filters in cgsi.

This really annoying. I cannot figure out how to stop it.

I've had to frame the images in a dive with a background image to compensate.

Probably will uninstall Company Directory and re-install an older version that does not require CGSmartImage.

Not the best solution, but I've got to launch this site....

Did you try to upload a somewhat larger image so CGSI must really resize it?
