Geolocation (address to lat/long) failed... marker "xxxxx"

Post by michaywood »

I've been using the CGGM and CD modules for a while and just tried to upload some new companies and then started getting these Geolocation failed errors. I just even deleted the entire CD company list and reuploaded all 1,000 accounts and they imported successfully. Now when I try to load the map, it sits there for a long time, then just goes to a long page with 1,000 lines of

Code: Select all

Geolocation (address to lat/long) failed.. marker "CompanyName" skipped
Geolocation (address to lat/long) failed.. marker "CompanyName" skipped
Geolocation (address to lat/long) failed.. marker "CompanyName" skipped
Any ideas? All I'm wanting to do is have a list of all our customers on a map at once for in-house purposes (not deployed, just local)

CGGM does the geolocation, by using Google's Geolocation service.

The Geolocation service has a daily limit. IIRC that's 1000 per day.
But CGGM (by default) caches any successful result.

so. 2 reasons geolocation can fail.
- 1. An invalid address
- 2. Over quota.
