search module

Hello...

We've recently upgraded to 1.11.7.

It appears now we're getting a lot of irrelevant returned results when searching.

Our current search module is 1.7.8.

When I go back to our older version of CMSMS (1.9.4.1) and search the result is much more relevant and concise.

The old version search module is 1.6.10.

An example would be "cut columns calculator"... when searching our old system it retrieved 2 items. Doing that same search on our upgraded system it retrieves about 50+ links.

It appears the new system is exploding the search and returning results based on per word.... b/c the 50+ results do contain one of the 3 words searched.

I checked the modules options and they both have the same settings & catch words.

Is there anyway to make the search more relevant? Would reindexing help at all? Was there a major change in 1.6 to 1.7?
