{Solved} Can't get {NMS} to send out newsletter

I have a new installation using 1.11.7 and the newest versions of every module.

I have created a NMS job and it appears correctly under the Jobs tab and shows "Starting".

In Jobs Manager the "job" appears. I clicked on settings to try to send this single test newsletter manually. Once in "Settings" I clicked on the displayed link to manually trigger the sending activity. Another blank window opens which I am assuming means the event is activated. The Jobs Manager "Jobs" tab has now shown "In Progress" for over 3 hours. Nothing happens.

CMS Mailer is set properly using SMTP and test emails work properly. Can a newsletter no longer be sent manually? Must only a cron job be used?

NMS uses CGJobMgr to send out mails in the background, and to do it in a way that doesn't overload the mail server.

CGJobMgr requires a cron job. I usually run the cron job every 5 minutes.

Thanks for the information Calguy. I reinstalled NMS and the user database. This succeeded in getting things working.
