Instructions for a multilingual website

Post by urbini »

Hi. I've found several instructions to get a multilingual website with CMSMS, so I'm a bit confused: could you tell me which one should I follow? Maybe it depends on the characteristic of the website I'm going to build, that are as follows:
- some multilingual pages;
- some multilingual global blocks to be positioned in a sidebar;
- a blog: if necessary, is it possible to make it multilingual too? I've made some searches and I think it is not possible, or not?
- finally, there is a booking system (it is a hotel) based on a PHP script made by myself: in the actual static version of the website it gets the lang variable (passed through the URL) in order to view it multilingual, so how can I get the language variable from CMSMS? and more: how could I integrate the booking script in a CMSMS page (e.g. /booking.html)?
The actual static website is http://resortladolcevita.com/
Thanks a lot for your help

Thanks Jos, I've read the documentation you sent me and I've followed the instructions so I've managed to make multilingual pages and blocks. But what about a multilingual blog?

Check the paragraph "Using modules with MleCMS" in http://blog.arvixe.com/creating-a-multi ... ms-module/

CGBlog is a fork of the News module I think the way it works with categories is different, but you might get it to work in a similar way.

You might want to register here http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/l10n-thai and then translate via http://translations.cmsmadesimple.org
