Statistics Module

Post by Edwin_IandD »

Hello,

I have been using the Statistics module quite happily. However, my client would like a visitors counter on their website and for some reason I can't seem to find how (or if) to do this with Statistics.

If anybody could help me out with this, that would be most appreciated!

(btw I have been playing with the Hitcounter module to do this, but for some odd reason these hits are completely different than the stats in Statistics. I.E. I should have 33000 odd visits, but hitcounter only shows 2009..)

Many thanks,
Edwin

It's in the Statistics help page, do it using something like:

Code: Select all

{Statistics what='total' how='txt'}
to show a simple textual numeric total hits.

"Hits" is interpreted differently by different visitor counter systems. e.g. 2 visits to the same page by one IP address within 5 minutes might be counted as 2 hits by one system and 1 by another.
