Just tested. works fine here. Of course, it won't work if pretty urls are enabled (as is described in the help).

On my page on the options tab, in the text area entitled “Smarty data or logic that is specific to this page:” I enter a tag : {cge_module_hint module=Products detailtemplate=women_2}, but it does not work?

If you use pretty URLs you most likely have to use the detail template marked as default...
