NMS Job status = "starting" but newsletter is not sent

Post by RichardStannard »

Can someone help:

I am running NMS 2.7 with CGJobMgr 1.2.11 and CMSMailer 5.2.1 on CMS-MS 1.11.3. When I start a job to send out a newsletter the status "Starting" appears and remains forever and no Emails are sent out.

CMSMailer works correctly as the Front End Self Registration process works fine. Does something need to be configured somewhere for NMS to send out newsletter Emails?

Thanks

The NMS needs the CGJobMgr which needs a cron job to work correctly...

Would you be tell us how to use a cron job ??

I'm totally lost with this new version of NMS. For my little client who send 10mails by NMS, this change is very difficult...

Thank you !

After you create your job under newsletter and it is sitting there in "starting" position. Go to CGJobMgr and click the settings tab. You have to click the job processing url to push the job forward.

The only thing I miss from the older version (when CGJofbMgr wasn't required) was that a window would open giving us an idea of the batch that was being sent and when the job was fully complete. Am I missing something or is this feature gone?

yup, i think so!! but indeed pitty that this feature is gone. Was a lot easyer to adjust. i actually need it for some clients. but can't get it to work anymore. the older version of NMS was al lot easyer.

Maybe standing someone up who modify the older version of nms to the latest version of cmsms so that we use that module again without cronjobs.

So anyone!!???

When I do this, I get a blank new browswer tab. No info what is going on.

What is this screen supposed to show?

Eventually I get an e-mail notifying me simply that the job is done. No info on how many e-mails actually have been sent. Where do I find this info?

Cheers,
Alex
