Such as Neighbours. God I hope not. The only good thing to come out of that was Kyle's arse.

Hahaha! Reruns of Neighbours? Nooooooo!! Not even an Aussie would be so cruel as to inflict that on a Brit.

Hi Rolf

I am not trying to be rude in the slightest but I did check out all the dev sites recently and sorry to say visually they are not good. On Calguy's site there was even a php error notice. Clearly this does not portray CMSMS in a good light.

Recently I had the opportunity to pitch for a redoing a website for a very large international IT company as I happen to know one of the directors and for which I of course suggested using CMSMS. The head of IT came back and basically said that he didn't like the name and that he didn't think it was appropriate for their brand. This is because he of course went to this site and looked at it and thought it wasn't up to scratch and if on first impressions you compare it to the websites of Drupal, Wordpress, Expression Engine etc then sorry to say, but I have to agree with him.

I know that CMSMS is the best CMS out there I just think it is a pity that the branding doesn't match up to it and is one of the reasons why it is not as widely used as it ought to be. If it was then it would surely help the Dev's as well as people like me to get more work.

I am not for one minute questioning the dedication and integrity etc of the Dev team as I appreciate greatly the time and effort you guys put into it but nearly all of the dev team are coders not designers / brand creators and it shows. I know it's not easy, my own site I have been intending to redo for the past 9 months.

I have previously offered to help redo the main CMS site but was told that it wasn't on the cards. If it ever is and I can help in anyway then the offer still stands.

Thanks for the clarification applejack. Whether you personally like the look of my site or not is irrelevant.

CMSMS is a fabulous platform for designers as well as developers. I agree that some of the dev team's sites (not all by any stretch) are more closely aligned with function than visual appeal.

That's something that as members of the CMSMS community we should be pushing to improve.

To clarify one point, I am not a member of the dev team. I am a web developer who prefers to use and promote CMSMS, and I can take some jesting as you've seen.

And btw, if my site is reminiscent of the 1980's, then your's is definitely 1970's. What is it with the piece of paper with the thumbtack in the corner? ;)

Hi Psy

I was only ever teasing you and I know you are not a member of the Dev team but I know you do contribute to the Forum and help others which is much appreciated.

Yes my site needs redoing which I hope to get done shortly unless I jump under a bus which I might do as I am doing a site at the moment using jQuery UI mobile which is doing my head in !!! ;-)

No problem. Sometimes the pot needs stirring.

Happy to take a look at your jQ UI dilemma if needed.
