Importing a Theme

I'm using a brand new CMSMS installation (downloaded from your site yesterday) and all the installation checks including recommended php version passed. I found a nice theme (Celestial.xml) and uploaded it using the drag and drop window in CMSMS (and it is in the folder). After that I am completely stuck. There is no Theme Manager under layouts as stated in the documentation. There is a Theme Manager extension (1.1.8 installed) but it has no GUI component and there is no button or tab or link for using it except that one can view the XML. The Theme manager documentation you get when you click on it gives no clue as how to use it for a newbie like me. I have tried every corner of the admin interface without finding any clues.

I have great hopes for CMSMS but am stuck at the first hurdle and can't trace any discussion of this problem on the net. Help please.

I just did a theme import on a fresh 1.11.5, the theme is one of the older ones, and all went fine, you may want to show us your system info...

When I log in to 1.11.15. I log in using my admin password. At first it only gave me editor permissions which is why I could not see the theme Manager. Now it gives me no functionality at all. Everything I click on the menu produces no results at all. The main part of the screen is simply blank. I'm effectively locked out of everything.

I can send you anything you tell me how to access. I'm new to CMSMS so I don't know where anything is. Remember, I can't access anything through the GUI but I do have ftp access to my site.

I deleted the tmp/cache files and the admin panel loaded up with Theme manager showing under Layout. I click on it and it immediately (well, its very slow actually) switched me out of admin permission level and the Theme Manager option disappeared. Now I have no control at all again.

Theme manager should be under the Layout tab, you need permission to use it if you log in as editor you may not see it, make sure it's in extensions > modules...
