Could a user add a URL to content_image tag?

Is is possible to allow a user to link to a CMSMS page (selflink) that would be applied to a image selected via the content_image tag?

I am just trying to sort a means for a user to link a couple images in content via a certain template without them in anyway affecting the layout.

Add/insert and image then click image and use the second palm tree to add a selflink to a page, this assumes you use tinyMCE and not MicroTiny...
