Using custom fckstyles.xml

Post by tamlyn »

I'm trying to use a custom custom 'styles' for fckeditor but without success. I've never managed to get the built in css to fck styles thing to work (i.e. fckstyles.xml.php) but I need more than that anyway because I want to be able to set class="en" xml:lang="en" and other languages on arbitrary blocks of text.

[url=http://wiki.fckeditor.net/Developer%27s ... ion/Styles]This wiki page[/ur] describes exactly what I need but I just can't get it to work. I've tried specifying FCKConfig.StylesXmlPath in FCKeditorXcfg.js.php as both a relative url and a uri. I also tried adding the relevant rules straight into fckstyles.xml.php but it never shows up in the styles box. I've cleared my cache and ctrl-F5ed and now I'm stuck.

Any tips? I guess the first step is to get the styles drop-down to work in any way. Then I can take it from there...
