Simplex stylesheets in Simplex template - where are they?

Post by ozziejohn »

I'm new to CMSMS and working with 1.11.4.
I want to use the Simplex Template because it seems to be the right thing for responsive browsing so that the various elements will look good on any screen or device.

I see that 4 stylesheets (Print; Core; Layout and Mobile) are attached to the Simplex template.
Trying to be careful, I've made a copy of the Simplex template and called the copy the name of the new website (Koningen) so if things go wrong I can revert to, or consult the original template.

However the stylesheets in the new "Koningen" template are the same as in the Simplex template and when I make changes to the Simplex Layout stylesheet attached to the Koningen template for example, I'm making changes to the original which I'm trying to avoid by making a copy of the template...

I've looked under the Stylesheet list, but can't find the Simplex stylesheets listed. Where are these kept, and how can I make new "Koningen" stylesheets copied from the Simplex stylesheets and attach them to the "Koningen" template?

Thanks for any help!

You need to copy your stylesheets, in a similar way that you copied your template.

Go to Layout -> Stylesheets. Select one of the 4 stylesheets that is used and hit the copy icon on the right. Call it something sensible. Repeat so you have copied all 4.

Go to Layout -> Templates. Find the template you created. Click the blus CSS logo to the right. Remove the stylesheets currently linked to it (remove icon on right). Then link your 4 new stylesheets to the template using the drop down and "Add a Stylesheet" button.

Now you can edit your new stylesheets without affecting the other template.
