Same CMS Version, Different PC, No Styling and Error Message

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Same CMS Version, Different PC, No Styling and Error Message

Post by cptpicard »

Hi all,

hope you can help?!

I host CMS Made Simple as an intranet on my network and not via the web.

I have exported the database and backed up the entire root directory which I called cmsmadesimple.

I have installed a new PC and installed the latest version of XAMPP (Version 3.1.0.3.1.0) . I have imported the old database into PHPMyAdmin and set up username, password, permissions etc. I have no problem connecting to the database.

I then copied the existing version of CMS Made Simple onto the new PC in the htdocs folder (Version 1.11.4)

Unfortunately, when viewing the CMS site, I only get text and no styling, and at the top of the page, I get the following error messages.

Notice: Indirect modification of overloaded element of cms_variables has no effect in C:\xampp\htdocs\cmsmadesimple\modules\CustomContent\CustomContent.module.php on line 237

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in C:\xampp\htdocs\cmsmadesimple\modules\CustomContent\CustomContent.module.php on line 238

I can login to the control okay and even see its styling okay, but again, I get the above error messages at the top.

Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong and what I need to do to fix this error message and get the front end styling back

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.
