Easiest way to preview pages while site is down [SOLVED]

While the site is down, I have the flexibility to put in a little text to show people, (i.e. come back soon while we work on updates). But during that time, how can I preview each page I am working on? I tried clicking the preview tab for each page under Pages, but when I do that, it shows me the site down message.

I'm using CMSMS 1.11.4 on an apache environment

My apologies, the system makes it easy for us to add an IP address as an exception, even my own, which is points out further down the page.

There is also a checkbox to allow logged in administrators to view the site but regular visitors to see that the site is 'down'.
