Horizontally sliding content. Is it possible or utopia?

Post by 14m3r »

I wonder, whether is possible to make a horizontal sliding content without using anchors? Has anyone already thought about it? If there have a decision, I'll be glad to hear the opinion of the professionals.

I did that on this page: http://www.wilbertvandersteen.nl/wilbert and used jQuery Scrollable for it (http://jquerytools.org/documentation/sc ... index.html).
Major drawback is that only the first of the set of 'pages' is shown in the WYSIWYG editor, so editing the page can only be done in HTML mode.

Looks good. But I was interested how can I make it more than one page, i.e. a full-featured website with the menu. In truth, I have idea, to port this theme on CMSMS. And I almost did it, except for the sliding content (the problem in anchors). I don't know whether there any solution in this case.
