Bilingual site- meta tag switching

Post by burlington »

I know that meta tags are not so important as they used to be but so far as I am aware they are still needed, especially for the 'title' and 'content' tags.

Having designed a bilingual (English/German) site with language switching, I am now puzzled about the tags. OK, I could just duplicate the content, keyword and other tags in to the relevant languages all in one block as it were, but this looks untidy and surely could be penalised.

The site in question has English as the default. My question is how can the residents of, in this case Germany, load the site that would only contain the German language meta tags.

Any ideas please.

Thanks

Martin

Dear Martin,

I suppose you are using the "MLE cms" module?
In MLE cms, you could create a "snippet" for your metatags...

Greetings,
Manuel
